170,000 developers use Flurry Analytics, overseeing app activity from 1.4 billion devices each month and 5.5 billion app sessions each day. On average Flurry analytics is on 7 apps per device and 8000 publishers monetizing with Flurry.

With these results it is easy to see why Yahoo wanted to get their hands on this service. According to Yahoo’s press release on the matter, this is a mutually beneficial relationship.

“By joining Yahoo, Flurry will have the resources to speed up the delivery of platforms that help developers build better apps, reach the right users and explore new revenue opportunities.” Seeing as Yahoo has recently had a drop in revenue only time will tell if this really is the right decision on Flurry’s part.
